start=”1″> They do both have kids. I don’t know what "family money" means or what wasting it means; using your life savings in retirement is generally the idea. A couple liquidating a $1m+ asset to live off (plus other existing savings) will certainly be in a better boat than a bog standard pensioner with nothing.

I agree they are entitled to keep both homes. They are not, by definition, entitled to do so and collect the pension.

start=”1″> I don’t think anyone would argue with you. But it’s not as simple as that, since the unemployed may not be qualified for the jobs created.
You did see Ian’s statistics about 40% of the unemployed being over 45? Can a person support a family for ten years by delivering newsletters?
