A NEW proposal could get thousands of students $500 monthly payments.
This comes from California state Senator Dave Cortese of San Jose, who’s proposing a guaranteed income pilot program at select California State University campuses. The aid would go out to students whose families are in the bottom 20% of earners in the state The term of the proposal is not clear but the Democrat has projected what the plan could cost.
