THOUSANDS of Americans have applied for a new basic income program and they will soon find out if they will get the cash.
El Monte, California’s Guaranteed Basic Income program (GBI) will give 125 randomly selected households, living under the poverty line, $500 monthly payments for one year. Thousands have applied for a new GBI program The program is meant for low-income residents who were impacted by the pandemic’s economic fallout.
