Rather than a UNIVERSAL basic income, where your wages are taxed and then everyone is given a check, rather than handing people back their money, how about stop taxing people who earn less than $2k a month and let them keep their money while focusing on providing education, health services, public transport, access to information, shelter and healthy food to those in need.
