To deal with the climate crisis, Korea’s Justice Party presidential candidate, Sim Sang-jung, pledged to introduce a carbon tax bill for the green transition. Ruling Democratic Party of Korea candidate Lee Jae-myung also said that he would make use of such a tax based on the amount of carbon emissions companies produce, which cause global warming.
