Hungary’s opposition parties on Monday slammed the government’s economic protection measures in connection with the novel coronavirus epidemic as “inadequate and weak”.

Spain intends to implement a universal basic income as response to the coronavirus crisis. According to the Social Security Minister, the government plans to realise the basic income “as soon as possible”. Albay Rep. Joey Salceda MANILA – The chairman of the House ways and means committee on Tuesday proposed a universal basic income approach that would cover 90 percent of the country’s population.

Albay Rep. Joey Salceda said the UBI approach proposes that “all Filipinos except those in the top 10 percent” of the population would receive between PHP1,000 and PHP2,000 each in emergency assistance during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
