Beginning today, November 17, 2,400 artists and cultural professionals will start receiving their first no-obligation paychecks from Creatives Rebuild New York (CRNY), the largest nationwide guaranteed-income program to date in the country. They will be paid $1,000 per month for a year and a half, with a total of $43.2 million distributed over the course of the initiative.
