San Diego’s first guaranteed income pilot program launched on Tuesday with 150 households across the county receiving their first monthly payment of $500. They will receive the payment each month for the next two years.
“I’m thrilled to see families getting the money they’ve been waiting for and that we can support them in this way,” said Khea Pollard, who runs a program called San Diego for every child .
