New basic income program: more vulnerable people will have more generous benefits

About 84,000 people on social assistance will receive more generous assistance benefits starting on 1 er January 2023 thanks to the Basic Income Program (BRP) newly created by the Quebec government.

It was the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity, Jean Boulet, who made the announcement on Friday morning, in a press release.
