Partial basic income in France can empower young people: new report

Credit: CC0 Public Domain The introduction of a partial basic income for young people living in France would be an important ‘stepping stone’ for the country’s underprivileged young people, the authors of a new report say. The analysis, from the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) at the University of Bath and the Center for Microsimulation and Policy Analysis (CeMPA) at the University of Essex, assesses a range of different policy options proposed for basic income in France and considers the trade-offs required how these would be financed.
