Response to the Fraser Institute – ‘The expensive truth about a universal basic income’

For opponents of basic income the truth isn’t expensive, it’s inconvenient. The Fraser Institute website states “ We work to ensure that people become more knowledgeable about the outcomes of various public policies and can then make more informed decisions”, yet the assessment of the cost of basic income published on September 11 th is woefully incomplete. The consequences of this wholly inadequate contribution to this important public policy debate is, it reflects a clear policy decision to leave behind those most in need.
