Welsh basic income “will cut poverty in half”

Major studies have found that if the Welsh government establishes a basic income (UBI) system in the country, poverty in Wales will be halved.

According to a study conducted by major think tank Autonomy, UBI will reduce overall poverty in Wales by 50%, child poverty by 64% and less than 10% in Wales.
