A basic income pilot scheme is being trialled in Wales this year (Photo: PA) People leaving care will be offered £19,200 annually by the Welsh government under a new trial of a scheme similar to universal basic income (UBI).

It is the highest amount individuals have received on a basic income pilot anywhere in the world, say officials.
