Andrew Yang is a 43-year-old entrepreneur who’s running as a Democratic presidential candidate for 2020, and one of his main campaign policy proposals is to implement universal basic income for all American citizens aged 18 to 64.

Born in Schenectady, New York to Taiwanese immigrant parents, Andrew Yang is the founder of Venture for America, a non-profit started in 2011 to train recent graduates and young professionals to start businesses in Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore and other emerging cities across the US.
