This fall, a guaranteed income program that focused on New Orleans high school students will expand its $50 weekly automatic payment plan from 20 students to 1,600. Reporter Marie Fazio reported that The Rooted School program has seen promising success with a one-year pilot. The expanded program will include more students and feature a three-year commitment.
