I would definitely support it if and when society reaches a point where there are too few jobs available due to automation.
As of right now I feel that it doesn’t work to address the underlying causes of the issues faced by the lower and middle classes, which is unchecked corporate greed and cronyism.
If UBI were to be enacted now, companies would just raise the prices of things and we’d be back to square one. We’re already seeing this with regards to EVs and the new tax credits.I think we can’t afford true UBI (food/shelter/clothing only) but we could do […]
