r/bayarea – $750 a month was given to homeless people in California. What they reported spending it on is more evidence that universal basic income works. I’m native American and we get monthly assistance payments from our casino. It’s about this amount but it helps so much. We have some people on drugs and such but most people now go to college, which we pay partial for, and the overall quality has improved vs my dad or grandmas generation.
