Basic Income Tour Comes To Windsor

Consultations on a basic income pilot project have been held in Windsor.

The province is planning to spend $25-million over a three year period.

Community and Social Services Minister Helena Jaczek says the only other basic income pilot project was in Manitoba in the 1970’s but the findings weren’t conclusive. "There were some hints that there was less hospitalization, there was some evidence that high school completion was more common in the families that received this," says Jaczek.
