I continue to be astounded by the number of smart people who keep calling for Universal Basic Income . I am astounded because I don’t think it takes much thought to figure out why its not just a bad idea, but an unworkable, unjust, and unsustainable.
The advocates mention how it will simplify and reduce the costs of government social services, make it possible for more people try entrepreneurship, or to leave their low end jobs to do something more worthwhile or creative.
