A Muslim imam has slammed The Project’s Waleed Aly for being apparently condescending to a female co-host who disagreed with him on a radical Greens welfare policy.
The Gold Logie-winning TV personality and Rachel Corbett were debating the merits of paying every citizen the equivalent of the age pension, or $23,000 a year.
However at one point during the exchange Aly suggested the female panellist didn’t understand Greens leader Richard Di Natale’s universal basic income policy, which is being trialled in Kenya.
