MPs to ponder Senate-backed pitch to drop reference to ‘barbaric cultural practices’ from current law

After burning the midnight oil on Monday night with an emergency debate on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project, MPs are set to return their collective attention to Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s omnibus legislative plan to implement measures announced in his most recent budget.
