An alternative to Basic Income

Why/Premise:

Basic Income was intended to grant Canadians a chance to cope with a future where extreme technological unemployment took place. A world where at least 30-40% of the population was unemployable because they would be competing with machines for pennies or a couple dollars an hour. Meanwhile the Great Depression transpired on unemployment rates around 20%. The problems with Basic Income are many, but essentially inflation and income source and cost are detached and economic failure is inevitable. A possible outcome that the wealthy actually fear is revolution.
