I think that Belgium is ready to take some steps into that direction. Here are some ideas:
Remove restrictions on income for people who get social security. Right now, a person with a disability, on social security, is not allowed to have additional income above €500 a month, in which case, benefits are cut. Remove this restriction and tax the extra income normally.
Free housing for people on social security. They do have to live in a house owned and maintained by the government. So this "free" housing comes with restrictions. Also, they lose some of their social security money. This […]
