The twentieth century was undoubtedly the century of socialist utopia. Countries all over the world seeking a general philosophy guiding their institutions have tried different variants of socialist thought. This political philosophy has won hearts and minds by its poetics, its general coherence and the strength of its ideas. The tomorrows were not singing. Countries that have been able to fully apply these ideas, whether through the use of force of arms or the use of ballot boxes, were the ones who suffered the most.
