Andrew Yang, 44, is the entrepreneur running for president as a Democrat whose primary campaign promise is to implement a Universal Basic Income for every American adult.
Yang’s first challenge was to garner donations from enough people to make it onto the debate stage with the rest of the Democratic candidates. The DNC decided that a candidate must have received donations from at least 65,000 donors from 20 states in order to qualify, among other rules. Yang is well on track to reach that mark. As of March 11, Yang needed approximately 3,500 more donors to contribute.
