At CMU debate watch party, Bingo cards illustrate divide in Democratic Party

Julian Routh In Wean Hall on Carnegie Mellon University’s campus Tuesday night, laughter could be heard from the auditorium-style classroom outside the seventh-floor elevators.

Inside the room, a watch party was underway for the latest installment of the Democratic presidential primary debates , and more than 80 Carnegie Mellon students held onto Bingo cards, which they filled in when, say, Bernie Sanders "got sassy" or entrepreneur Andrew Yang mentioned universal basic income.
