Spain is moving toward implementing a global basic income system, which means giving citizens unconditional wages, as a measure to help workers suffering from the emerging Corona Virus pandemic, which has killed thousands and sickened more than 100,000.
The Minister of Economic Affairs, Nadia Calvinho, said in an interview with a local radio carried by the “Business Insider” website, that the government plans to provide cash subsidies as part of a policy package that aims to help people get back on their feet.
