A new survey by WeMove and YouGov shows that about two thirds of Europeans want governments to set up a universal basic income. This measure is supported by 65% of people, but if respondents are asked to think about the current pandemic, the result rises to 68%. The survey was conducted by YouGov on a sample of 800,000 people, in 6 European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain) where people have expressed strong support for a universal basic income and would like their governments set up a pilot project.
