Universal Basic Income (UBI) is a policy, much like Social Security, where every citizen of a country receives money at consistent intervals. This amount usually is meant to cover the basic needs of a person in that society. The goal is to give people an “equal opportunity” to advance within society rather than providing “equal outcomes”.
