Grant beneficiaries who arrived as early as 04:30am sit on an outside bench waiting to join the queue inside the Primrose post office. Awinding queue stretched outside the Primrose post office in Germiston on the morning of Friday 30 April as many braved the cold to collect the social relief of distress grant. By mid-afternoon, only a few had received their money. Most were told to come back in two weeks to collect what could be their last payment of the grant, which was discontinued that Friday.
