The South African Government is planning a new basic income grant (B.I.G) for SA citizens aged 19 to 59. Lindiwe Zulu ; Social Development minister; has revealed that the department is continuing with their efforts to introduce a new basic income grant in South Africa.
During the departmental budget speech on Tuesday (25 May); she said that the introduction of this type of income has become a pressing priority for the African National Congress driven government.
