The Houston Fund for Social Justice and Economic Equity announced an income pilot program that will give over 100 residents $4,500 over a one-year period.
The Houston Equity Fund, which recently raised $25 million , will disperse $375 monthly stipends to 110 of Houston’s most underserved and under-resourced individuals. This program aligns with the fund’s goal of progressing toward a more equitable and prosperous city, according to a press release.
