California may offer monthly guaranteed income to some homeless students A state bill that made its way through the Legislature would give high school seniors $1,000 a month, joining a rising tide of guaranteed-income programs across California.
Introduced by State Sen. Dave Cortés (D-San Jose), Senate Bill 1341 proposes monthly, no-strings-attached checks to eligible students for five months, from April to August of a student’s senior year.
