An aerial view of Wrexham Some young people are set to receive £1.600 every month, for two years, under a Welsh Government scheme which will start in days. The trial known as a Basic Income pilot, is being launched to help those who have been brought up in care transition to life as an adult.
An evaluation of the three-year £20m scheme, will be carried out, with the Welsh Government saying it will be classed as a success if there have been positive improvements in areas like employment, education, mental health and wellbeing, reports Wales Online.
