New Study Reveals How the State Saves Money through Child Basic Income

German Federal Minister for Family Affairs Lisa Paus (Alliance 90/The Greens) is currently demanding seven billion euros per year for the children’s basic income. However, the follow-up costs of unchecked child poverty would be significantly higher, reaching up to 120 billion euros. This is the result of a scientific study presented today in Berlin. The German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) conducted the study on behalf of Diakonie Germany.
