Negative Income Tax of Milton Friedman VS Universal Basic Income. What would political scientists prefer?

UBI 100%, to me it seems like NIT would sustain the issues that we have with current benefits programs where you may end up earning less once you cross over the tax “line”, however I don’t know enough about it to verify if this is the case

I recall some pallets from a while back that demonstrated that, as far as the beneficiary is concerned, UBI and NIT are the same.
