One thing that I haven’t seen other comments talking about in regards to UBI is that passing UBI legislation – despite its logistical setbacks – can be a huge step towards decoupling the societal understanding of a person’s value being directly proportional to their labor.

Yes UBI has lots of problems and is more a bandaid than a long term solution, but so long as our society continues to link human worth to some ambiguous perceived level of exertion, lots of long term fixes will be locked behind this implicit bias. • 12 hr. ago I […]
