Results from Cambridge RISE show the extra money created time and space that participants spent with their children, and the children of RISE recipients had higher grades than their peers whose parents and caregivers were in a control group that did not receive funding. Participants in a Massachusetts guaranteed income pilot said the program provided them a financial cushion and increased time and bandwidth for parenting.
