The BBC reportedly wasted thousands of pounds on unused bookings The BBC has reportedly wasted £235,000 of licence fee payers money on cancelled bookings.

It has been reported the corporation spent £1,250 per week on transport and accommodation that nobody used. Back in April, the licence fee was controversially increased to £169.50 per year. However, some 2,511 rail tickets, 324 rooms and 1,581 taxis were all paid for but then cancelled with no refund, according to reports.
