Anti-UBI r/BasicIncome – Corporations raised $16 million to oppose Oregon’s universal basic income plan. They won. This was a plan put together by ordinary humans to go around the politicians, but they were unable to beat the money that bought media to tell a story that activates fear in Oregonians. Oregon would only be better if more people moved there. Your state would prosper. Why do you want giant corporations to oppress you? See, that is the false story that will keep people down. Voting for corporations against the people 🙁
