I’ve probably written this too many times, but…
The idea that giving poor people money makes their lives better has never been in doubt. It’s been tested over and over again, always with the same result. You can run another 1000 test projects to see if giving poor people money makes them less poor, and the result will be positive, pretty much every time. I don’t know why it keeps being reported as if this is news. It isn’t. Pouring water over someone makes them wet, showering poor people with money makes them less poor.
