NOMPU SIZIBA: The government, through Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu, yesterday announced that it was considering the notion of a basic income grant for unemployed South Africans between the ages of 18 and 59. This in a bid to address the dire poverty levels in the country, which have been brought into sharper focus by the Covid-19 crisis.
