Senator Kim Pate and NDP MP Leah Gazan introduced Bills S-233 and C-223, respectively, in an attempt to create the first national framework that provides everyone over the age of 17 across Canada, including temporary workers, permanent residents and asylum seekers, a decent and guaranteed basic income.
