Republican lawmakers in the state Assembly introduced a bill last week that would ban city’s from deploying guaranteed income programs.
The bill, which was introduced by 26 GOP Representatives last Friday, bans only programs that use public funds and provide folks with regular payment with no strings attached, and not programs which require someone to perform work or attend training.
