california launches first state-funded guaranteed income pilot projects for former foster youth

Two state-funded Guaranteed Income Pilot Programs to serve former foster youth have launched today as part of the “California Guaranteed Income Pilot Program”.

The state has awarded the City and County of San Francisco $3,439,090 to provide 150 former foster youth with $1,200 per month for 18 months. Ventura County Human Services Agency has received $1,538,758 to offer 150 former foster youth $1,000 per month for the same duration.
