The Pension Trick That Can Double Your Tax-Free Lump Sum

The Pension Trick That Can Double Your Tax-Free Lump Sum

For many retirement savers, the tax-free lump sum available from the age of 55 years old is the main attraction of a pension.

That major cash boost is set as a payment of 25% of a pension fund.

For direct contribution pensions, such as a self-invested personal pension (SIPP) or personal scheme, the money is set as 25% of the fund value. For direct benefit or final salary pensions, the lump sum is calculated as 25% of the value of the first year’s payments times 20.So, for a £20,000 a year annual pension, that’s £20,000 x 20 = £400,000 x 25%, which […]

MELVYN FEIN: Losing more ground

MELVYN FEIN: Losing more ground

Charioteers, who often threw caution to the wind, similarly elicited raucous cheers in the Hippodrome. This fun was free. So were the many holidays where work could be set aside.

Nor was […]

Jeff Berwick & Doug Casey Debate Ellen Brown On “Universal Basic Income”

UBI might not work, but that doesn’t mean the deep state is not about to try it. Here’s what Universal Basic Income is all about, and what it is not about…

From The Dollar Vigilante :

Last week at the Nexus Conference I was on a panel with Doug Casey debating Universal Basic Income (UBI) with Flip Flipkowski and Ellen Brown, the President of the Public Banking Institute.I have never actually looked into UBI much and assumed it was just a passing, bizarre fad.
