"income" as in = money someone is taking home, not "income" as in the necessary amount of money to live on. It’s not supposed to completely replace someone having a job or their current benefits (i.e. Medcaid, TANF, SNAP, etc), it’s supposed to be a supplemental check to help ease some financial strain. Which, I think even for middle class people an extra $500 a month would be welcomed. Hell, that would cover my car payment, insurance and half my phone bill alone.
