If you were the owner of a business, would you stick around and watch your profits siphoned off to pay people money because you own a robot? Or would you load your robots on a ship and move the whole thing to a country that won’t mind the extra money you bring with you? You’ll need land for your robots to work on, resources to manufacture your widgets, and of course the country you move to benefits by being able to tax your profits in exchange for roads and enforcement of laws that help maintain a civil society.
