El Paso County (Texas) prepares for distribution of a so called guaranteed income to select persons beginning in Summer 2024. County commissioners unanimously agreed to set aside $500,000 to provide financial assistance to households. The Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation contributed an additional $400,000 bringing the actual amount of available funds to just under a million dollars, at $900,000. Select families will be eligible to receive a cash payment of $500 each month.
