Finnish citizens given univ. basic income report lower stress levels and greater incentive to work

Experimental programs like these have to be viewed with caution in terms of determining what works elsewhere vs. how they’d play out in the US.

There’s a certain culture of "pride in contributing to society" that exists in larger quantities in the Nordic countries than exists here… it’s a different mentality. Over there, it’s "how can I contribute to the best of my ability" vs. here, were we have a lot of "gee, how much can get get with having to do the least amount of work possible?"
